Interlift

Interlift are a Middlesbrough based a company who offer the hire, sale and service of lifting equipment across the UK. Interlift were set up in 2003 and have recently opened a second branch in Hull.
Interlift approached Orchid Marketing with the requirement for printed marketing literature, a direct sales and marketing strategy and also branded promotional goods to promote themselves amongst their current and potential clients.

The Solution was to research Interlift's key competitors and how they promote themselves, who they work with, analysed their marketing literature and websites and where they are based. This was looked at to provide Orchid with an insight into how the industry works and also what Interlift's Unique Selling Point was so a strategy could be created to differentiate them from the competition. Once this was researched and Interlift's position was determined, a sales strategy was created breaking it down into their desired target sectors and key contacts within chosen companies. A sales process was then established to contact these people with the new marketing materials and ensuring leads were followed up and new clients gained.

Handelsbanken

A Swedish none high street bank offering banking services for the corporate market and individuals.
They deal in banking and associated services for high net worth clients where minimum figures are attached to lending and investing, often in the millions.

Handelsbanken wanted to open a branch in the Tees Valley to open up their market, target clients of a high net worth in this area and also create more brand awareness in not only this area but also the UK.
To do this they wanted to hold an event to invite potential clients and also key partners to their new offices on Teesside

Orchid Marketing put together a strategy to hold an event for potential key partners and also potential clients. Rather than hold an event with just free food and drink Orchid wanted to organise it so that there was a strategy running alongside the event and objectives to achieve before during and after the day. A communication strategy was put in place to make people aware of the brand before invitations went out so that they were aware of who the company was and about their move to Teesside.
Attendees at the event were kept to a limited number so that the branch manager and his team could spend one to one time with each of them to get to know them on a personal level. Throughout the day the attendees could enjoy complimentary champagne, Swedish cuisine, purchase raffle tickets for various prizes sourced from local sports clubs, retailers and salons / hairdressers, with the money raised going to a local charity.

Lander-Be Property Investment Ltd Launch Event

Orchid Marketing Ltd was asked to organise a launch event for property investment company, Lander-be. Lander-be, based in Yarm offer advice on all property purchase with particular emphasis on acquiring, growing and managing an investment property portfolio.

The Brief was simple “to make people talk about them!” Orchid Marketing co-ordinated the entire launch event from liaising with venues, organising auction and raffle prizes, organising publicity, arranging press coverage, working with creative agencies and partners of the event and ensuring the programme of events throughout the evening ran smoothly.

The event began at The House, Yarm with a red carpet reception. Marking the entrance to the red carpet was two brand new Bentley’s (courtesy of Bentley, Newcastle). Branded gifts were given to each guest to get the company known and also provide them with information.

Champagne flowed whilst some of the properties available and the prestigious Lander-be offices were showcased.
A Raffle to raise funds on behalf of Teesside Hospice raised £700 from the sale of tickets. Prizes included a signed England shirt by Steve McLaren himself, £500 worth of Bang & Olufsen vouchers and a 3 Legends Football. After light refreshments and a free flow of Champagne were devoured an after party was held in the Hide Bar, Yarm.

Guests were welcomed to the VIP party by resident “Cafe Del Mar” Saxophonist, John McGough.

A charity auction was held during the VIP party for local boy Oscar Worton. The charity auction’s aim was to raise as much money as possible for Oscar’s Cerebral Palsy treatment which costs £3,100 a time without funding from the local health care trust.

Items on offer were that of a holiday in a 5* hotel in New York, a trip for two people to Marbella in a luxury villa, signed Middlesbrough Football Club football, signed football shirts, Mercedes CLK for the Weekend plus many more. All prizes were kindly donated by local companies and Middlesbrough football club. At the end of the auction, Lander-be very generously donated money towards the amount raised to make sure that Oscar had enough funds for two treatments, £6,200.

After the auction guests carried on enjoying the free flowing drink, food and entertainment until the early hours of the morning.

The Follow Up

As part of the planning for the launch event, it was advised that a follow up plan should be put in place to create a client relationship management (CRM) database of guests who attended on the night, for future events and contact but also for the publicity of the auction and raffle.

The database was collated through a register of guests arriving, raffle ticket contact names and also people enquiring for further information about the Lander-Be products and services.

This information was collated together through these lists but also through making phone calls for guests full contact details.

Once all details we collected a CRM software package was used to store the information which can flag the owners to make phone calls, mailshot, advertise new products to the guests or to make immediate contact with prospective clients.

As the Evening Gazette had been following the story of Oscar Worton, it was decided that a press release should be issued regarding the money raised on the night which not only brought more attention to the Oscar Worton cause but also got the Company, Lander-Be in the press, free of charge which again highlighted the Lander-Be brand in the local area.
